    IRC + RDC #5 Schladming

The biggest highlight of the season is just around the corner. 300 riders from 27 nations are expected at the Bikepark Schladming for the final of the PROPAIN Rookies Cup and the iXS International Rookies Championships.

Worldcup feeling

Schladming is well known to anyone who has anything to do with mountain biking and, in addition to its excellent reputation as a venue for World Cups, European Cups and rookie races, the Planai is probably one of the most popular destinations for bike park visits. Countless trails in all levels of difficulty offer just the right playground for everyone and the accommodation has also catered for this clientele. So it was certainly convenient for many families to have another trip like this on the agenda at the end of the season. The weather forecast for the coming days is quite satisfactory, so nothing should stand in the way of a perfect race weekend.

Glamorous career springboard

The race starts from the main road and leads partly via the Downtown Line (red route) & World Cup Downhill (black route) to the Planai finish stadium. The key data is a 350 metre difference in altitude over a length of 1,500 metres, which suggests a decent gradient. The task will certainly not be easy, but ultimately the best young athletes will be competing here to immortalise themselves in the statistics with the crowning title of iXS Rookies Champ. Big names such as Valentina Höll, Jackson Goldstone and Henri Kiefer have dominated these races in the past, which certainly shows what illustrious careers can emerge from the winners here.

Race for the title

But there's more at stake on Sunday at the PROPAIN Rookies Cup finale, because that's when the series titles will be awarded. After four races, important points will once again be at stake in the overall classification in order to perhaps secure the overall title at the end.

Experience the downhill future

In particular, we would like to explicitly encourage spectators to give the youngsters the atmosphere they deserve and line the route in large numbers. This race will give you a unique insight into the future of downhill mountain biking.
