Oberhof is a popular destination for athletes in both summer and winter, as the LOTTO Thüringen BIKE and SNOWPARK Oberhof offers plenty of variety. Exciting innovations were made here last year, such as the infrastructure and the race course itself.
At the base station, there is a functional building with a new ticket office and a lounge with free lockers, power sockets and Wi-Fi for your cell phones or action cams. There is also a parking lot with space for up to 70 additional cars. The catering facilities were also upgraded last season, so you can enjoy a few delicacies both up and down the mountain.
This year's downhill course will be similar to last year's. Nevertheless, there are many new lines, and it remains to be seen which one is the fastest. The course is 1,100 meters long and leads over many roots 120 meters down into the bottom.

The first race of the iXS European Downhill Cup has found his first winners. In the men elite category Denis Kohút shines with the sun to compete. Abigail Hogie took home the win in the women elite category with her clean run down the hill. Let's start from beginning.
The iXS European Downhill Cup has now officially opened the season and so it was off to Losinj in Croatia for almost 200 participants from 22 nations. The Mediterranean island has been the opening race of the European series for the past three years and therefore always provides the first indicator of who to expect for the rest of the season.
