The iXS European Downhill Cup has now officially opened the season and so it was off to Losinj in Croatia for almost 200 participants from 22 nations. The Mediterranean island has been the opening race of the European series for the past three years and therefore always provides the first indicator of who to expect for the rest of the season.
Losinj is definitely no stranger to mountain biking. The island has often been the stage for the Downhill World Cup and has mesmerized the participants with its unique Mediterranean feeling. Now this breathtaking scenery will be the setting for the epic opening of the iXS European Downhill Cup again. This is where adrenaline meets sea breeze as the elite teams show off their skills and prepare for the season ahead.
The iXS European Cup season will kick off in mid-April. For the third time, it will be travelling to Losinj on a beautiful island in Croatia. Registration for the series opener is now open and we would also like to give you a few tips for this race.
