New terrain in East Tyrol

The iXS Downhill Cup is stopping off in Lienz for the first time. The fourth round of the series takes participants to the picturesque region of East Tyrol, known for its impressive mountain scenery and diverse outdoor activities. With this event, organiser Ride Free Osttirol is bringing a breath of fresh air to the racing calendar and offering riders the opportunity to prove themselves on unfamiliar terrain.

Alban Lakata Trail - Technical challenge

The race course, named after the Austrian mountain bike marathon world champion Alban Lakata, stretches over 2,000 metres with a difference in altitude of 355 metres. Riders can look forward to a mixture of technical passages, fast sections and challenging bends. The route promises excitement and requires both riding ability and tactical skill.

Registration for the race is open from 3 June 2025, 17:00, until 24 July 2025, 23:59. For all Austrian races, participants without a UCI licence must take out their own insurance on site via the Austrian federation. This is valid for a whole year and costs 49 euros for Austrians. People who have their main residence in another European country and are in Austria as a guest can purchase the Cycling Austria Member Card Guest. This costs 65 euros/year. Participants from non-European countries require a UCI licence.
