    Mini race series for kids

Kids Race - iXS Dirt Masters Winterberg 2021_29

Shortly before the pandemic, the idea was born to create a mini-race series for bike-loving kids. The reason was to meet the growing demand for a format in which the youngsters can get active themselves in a playful way and don't always have to watch the bigger ones. Anyone who has been out and about in the bike parks with their eyes open in the recent past will certainly have noticed a lot of very young kids, some of whom showed remarkable riding skills. So the time seemed ripe to offer some small events for this target group as well. Of course, the omnipresent pandemic had its influence on the development of this idea, so that the project had to be put on hold in 2020 and then restarted in 2021.

FOR THE AGE GROUPS FIVE TO TEN, THERE IS NOW THE RIGHT FORMAT TO EXPERIENCE THE FIRST SMALL COMPETITIONS ON TWO WHEELS. YOU COULD ALSO SAY: THE PRE-SCHOOL FOR THE ROOKIES CUP.

Now, hopefully, the Corona issue is more or less over and should have little impact on outdoor sports in the future, so that the series can finally take off. Five races are planned for 2022, spread over three countries. The focus is always on having fun, the result is secondary, because the main thing is to have a good day, where everyone receives a medal at the end. The first three places in the various age groups even win gold, silver and bronze.

With the step towards a comprehensive race series, VPACE will now act as title sponsor. The young and up-and-coming brand, which has implemented the 29er principle on children's bikes, is exactly the right partner to signal the high-quality claim. For those who are interested in the brand from Ravensburg and want to know why a fire has destroyed almost all dreams, we recommend the story on Outville.

Furthermore, iXS is a partner and thus shows the connection to the big series. Another supporter is 1stRide by Sixpack, which is launching a new line of special bike parts for children, which are adapted to the needs of kids thanks to their low weight and adapted size.

The series will continue to be managed by the Innsbruck-based MTB Agency and implemented at the venues. Racement will take over the administrative organisation in the future and thus provide professional framework conditions in the background. As a communication tool, there will be a menu item 'Kids Cup' on racement.com, and registrations for participants will also be made via this website.

All further information will be published in the near future, so that all details will be available in time before the start of the season. Of course, the series will also be available on social media ( Instagram), with the main focus being on outdoor exercise and not on the screen.
